No. RiskGATOR is a fully cloud-hosted SaaS platform. There is nothing to install on your hospital servers, lab workstations, or network infrastructure. Your team needs only a device with a modern web browser (Chrome, Edge, Firefox, or Safari) and an internet connection. In most organizations, the only IT action required is adding our domain to your web application allow-list or content filter — a task that typically takes less than five minutes.
No. RiskGATOR does not process, store, or transmit any Protected Health Information (PHI) or Personally Identifiable Information (PII). The platform works exclusively with anonymized QC performance statistics — the same data your laboratory already generates through your daily QC process. This significantly simplifies your institutional governance review and eliminates the need for HIPAA Business Associate Agreements in most jurisdictions.
All data transmitted to and from RiskGATOR is encrypted in transit using TLS 1.2 or higher. Data stored within the platform is encrypted at rest. We operate Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) so that each team member sees only the data and functionality appropriate to their role. AWEsome Numbers manages all server maintenance, security patching, monitoring, and backup procedures — your IT team is not responsible for any of these tasks.
RiskGATOR is designed to integrate with your existing Laboratory Information System (LIS) using standard data export formats — no custom middleware or complex API development is required in most cases. Our onboarding team works directly with your lab to map your QC data fields and configure the connection during the initial setup process. We support a wide range of LIS platforms and can provide detailed technical specifications upon request.
Because RiskGATOR is cloud-hosted and requires no local installation, most laboratories are up and running within days rather than weeks or months. The primary steps are: (1) add our domain to your allow-list, (2) complete the initial data configuration with our onboarding team, and (3) complete a short orientation session for your lab staff.
