We are delighted to announce that our free AWEsome Numbers’ Risk Management MasterClass has been rescheduled to August or September 2026.
As we’ve continued preparing for the event, we’ve identified an opportunity to make the experience even more valuable and interactive for participants. Over the past several weeks we’ve been gathering industry feedback and reviewing how laboratory professionals are approaching risk management, quality control, and compliance with evolving standards such as ISO 15189, CLIA, and CLSI guidance.
As a result, we’ve decided to reschedule the Masterclass from June to August or September 2026 (date to be determined by prevailing feedback).
This additional time will allow us to:
• Incorporate more participant-driven discussion and polling
• Address the questions and challenges that matter most to laboratory professionals
• Expand several sections of the program based on recent industry feedback
• Create a more interactive learning experience focused on practical implementation
Our goal has always been to make this Masterclass a meaningful educational event—not a sales presentation—and we want to ensure we deliver the highest value possible.
Over the coming weeks we’ll be sharing brief “Risk Management Insights” and practical discussion points designed to help you prepare for the Masterclass and stay current with emerging risk management expectations.
We’re currently targeting August or September and will be reaching out shortly to gather your preferences regarding dates, times, and topics of greatest interest.
What’s the difference between a MasterClass and a Webinar?
Think of it like the difference between watching a movie trailer and attending a film.
The Webinar: “The High-Level Overview”
When you attend a webinar, you are usually there to get a “bird’s-eye view” of a topic.
- What you do: You sit back, watch a slide deck, and listen to a presentation. It’s mostly passive learning.
- The Content: It’s usually about the “What” and the “Why.” (e.g., “Why you should use SEO for your business”).
- The Price: Usually free. Because of this, expect a “pitch” at the end where they try to sell you a full course or software.
- Best for: When you’re curious about a new subject, want to stay updated on industry trends, or are “shopping around” for a solution to a problem.
The Masterclass: “The Deep Dive”
When you sign up for a masterclass, you are there to get your hands dirty and learn the “How.”
- What you do: You follow along, take rigorous notes, and often see the instructor actually performing the task (coding, cooking, writing, strategizing).
- The Content: It reviews the basics only briefly. It assumes you already know the “What” and moves straight into advanced techniques and professional secrets.
- The Price: Usually paid (though this one is free.) There is usually much less “fluff” and very little selling.
- Best for: When you already have the basic skills but want to reach a professional or elite level in that specific craft.
