Awesome Numbers, a Medical Laboratory software startup, is looking for individuals with clinical laboratory experience to apprentice with us as we continue developing and beta testing RiskGator, our AI-enabled Clinical Risk Management QC SaaS platform.

RiskGator is designed to help clinical laboratories improve quality control, reduce risk, and support better healthcare outcomes. We believe this represents one of the most significant advancements in laboratory quality control in decades.

This is also an opportunity to gain exposure to how artificial intelligence can be applied in clinical laboratory quality management, including data interpretation, workflow support, client onboarding, and future-facing laboratory decision support.

We are looking for people who are curious, motivated, and interested in learning more about clinical risk management, laboratory QC, SaaS implementation, AI-enabled healthcare software, client onboarding, and beta testing in a real-world HealthTech environment.

This opportunity may be especially interesting for:
Clinical laboratory technologists, MLTs, lab supervisors, quality coordinators, or individuals with hands-on laboratory experience who want to apply their knowledge in a software, AI, and innovation setting.

The right people would have the opportunity to work with our lead scientist and team on areas such as:

• Training and onboarding beta clients
• Supporting beta testers and gathering feedback
• Helping translate clinical laboratory workflows into software improvements
• Learning how AI can support clinical risk management and laboratory QC
• Applying laboratory QC knowledge to improve RiskGator
• Contributing to a product aimed at improving the quality of healthcare worldwide

This is currently an unpaid apprentice / intern opportunity. For the right individual(s), it may lead to permanent employment and potentially even an ownership opportunity as the company grows.

We are especially interested in connecting with people who are excited by innovation, quality improvement, clinical laboratory science, artificial intelligence, and the chance to be involved with a Canadian startup at an early stage.
